
Behaviour Expectations
Dance represents freedom, expression and creativity.
Every dancer deserves to be able to enjoy our sessions confidently and with the knowledge we represent a safe space.
Any dancer found to compromise this will not be invited back and no refunds will be issued.
Love Dance promotes healthy dancers, happy dancers and safe dancers.
At Love Dance, we....

-listen carefully to feedback and know that any guidance aims to help us to improve our technique

Expectations for Parents and Carers
-Please ensure your child arrives promptly for sessions fully prepared with the required uniform and bottle of water. These should be clearly labelled with your child's name.
-Please arrive at the studio present and not on your phone when you drop off and greet your child when you collect them.
-Please do not interrupt classes in progress or as they are about to begin. Please ensure siblings of the dancers also adhere to this.
-Please promote our behaviour expectations with your child and model them yourselves.
-Please speak to staff respectfully.
-Upon collecting your child, please wait patiently and refrain from calling them over or shouting their names to staff.
-Please do not photograph any members of staff or other dancers without first seeking their/their carers (if under the age of 18) permission. This is also applicable for posting on social media.
-Please do not swear or use inappropriate language at our venues.
-During performances, please engage polite etiquette and refrain from calling out individual dancers names. We promote clapping to celebrate each dance group as a whole at appropriate moments instead.
-Please do not compare your child and their progress to others. Please celebrate every small advancement and progress on all scales.
-Please label all of your child's posesssions with their name.
-Please check that your child has not brought anything of value (financial or emotional) to dance classes. Love Dance cannot be held responsible for any damages or lost items.
Medical
Please inform Love Dance by email or by completing the relevant area of the online booking forms of any medical concerns.
Love Dance should be informed of any allergies, injuries or illnesses which may affect your child's dance session.
Any medications your child requires must be passed over to teachers and collected at the start and end of each session. This include asthma inhalers or epipens for all children in our care. Furthermore, medication cannot be administered without a signed healthcare plan.
Children who are unwell should not attend sessions and absences should be emailed in advance to let staff know.
Any child with stomach upset or vomiting must stay home for 48 hours. Any child displaying signs of Covid must also stay home until symptoms have resolved.
Children presenting as unwell will have their parents informed and will need to be promptly collected.
Please note: we are a "nut free" studio so please do not bring any goods containing nuts onto the premises.
